The night before my Fox and Friends debut, I was reminiscing with my friend and co-author Katrina Epp on why we decided to write our book which we would soon be sharing on national television.
I started out remembering out loud to Trina, “We wrote this book so we could feel connected to other moms. After being up all night with two kids under 2, the third night in a row, I just wanted to know other moms were going through this…or had gone through this. When we find ourselves in those moments where we feel isolated, if we had this book, we’d feel the camaraderie that exists out in the world with moms who go through exactly what we are going through.”
“Exactly,” Trina replied. “We need to know we aren’t alone. We wrote this book so moms who are going through colic, or sleeplessness or tantrums or even crying on the first day of kindergarten would know that other moms have been there and have survived.”
We were crazy nervous about being on TV but we were sure about our story. About who we are and why we wrote the book. As if God wanted to reassure us of our purpose, in that moment, I received a…
