“If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment, live in the breath.” ― Amit Ray

Usually, I don’t experience a case of the Mondays.

But, there was something about Monday.

Not sure what it was. But, just about everyone I spoke to that day expressed they were feeling it.

Even one of my good friends whose demeanor is almost always cheery shook her head when she saw me and grumbled, “Yeah, I’m having one of those days.”

Something about that Monday. Maybe it’s the incessant talk of politics, the spotting of evil clowns all over the country or the looming Hurricane.

There is a certain correlation between the scent of essential oils and the moods they create.

Six essential oils that relieve stress including lemon, jasmine, ylang ylang, frankincense, lavendar, and orange.

Did ya know? Essential oils are made up of tiny molecules that when inhaled travel to the top of the nasal cavity where tiny receptors send signals to the limbic system. The limbic system just happens to be the emotional center and is partly responsible for our emotional reactions and mood fluctuations.

So when you’re just looking for a little pick me up–name that movie!–grab one of these essential oils and sniff away:

It’s no surprise this is called the King of Oils! Diffuse to uplift mood and combat depression, stress and anxiety.
