Your next #momlife Netflix binge should be…

With the holidays approaching, please let me bestow upon you this gift. If you haven’t watched this show yet, tonight is your night! The gift of feeling great about being the parent you already are. This show gives a really realistic look into all that is parenthood. It reminds you you’re not alone in the tantrums, the sleepless nights, the squabbles with your SO.

Parenthood will have you laughing out loud one minute, sobbing into your pillow the next. Then coming back for more next Tuesday!  Each story line complimented with incredible acting that is so real, will leave you wondering if the writers have stolen an episode of your life and scripted it for this show.

Parenthood should be your next netflix binge

Almost every mom I know has watched it or is currently watching it-thanks, in part to my constant nagging of them to pleeeease just watch it already– and we are left breathless at the end of just about every single episode. I think they (the writers, the producers, the Parenthood team-whoever “they” are) try to give you a break every 4th episode so as not to break you down too much, emotionally, therefore allowing you to still function in raising your own kids and living your own life.

Parenthood tackles the big and the small. From sibling rivalry and kids who don’t listen, to Asperger’s and cancer. I personally enjoy the balancing act of every mom. Another goody: the reality in the emotions, balance and conflicts between spouses on this show. Very very real. Absolutely relatable.

The whole cast is simply amazing. This season, brilliance in acting can be seen specifically in Monica Potter. She breathes a breath of fresh air into Kristina that delivers a message to real moms that there is no perfect and you are doing the best you can! Her portrayal of cancer-stricken mommy of three will take you on a roller coaster of emotions as you try to imagine yourself in her shoes while holding out hope for her and her family. Nothing about her performance ever seems rehearsed.

I just felt the calling to spread the word to those of you who haven’t been introduced to this amazingly real  show.  Pour yourself a glass of Barefoot Bubbly California Extra Dry Sparkling Wine, get cozy and tune in tonight to start your latest Netflix binge.
